The Econautics commitment and promise

Who We Are
The Mission of Econautics is to plant the seeds of healthier, more resilient communities by creating Living Laboratories for the exploration, study and teaching of sustainable agricultural practices.
Our Focus is to address environmental, health and economic disparities prevalent in under resourced areas through these Living Laboratories and through strategic partnerships with trusted organizations already embedded in the community.
Our Vision is for a future where all children grow up with access to an abundance of diverse and nutritious foods, as well as the knowledge and skills to steward Earth’s natural resources for generations to come.
At Econautics, we believe strong communities are built through personal responsibility, practical education, and stewardship of the land. Our mission is to prepare young people for careers in science, agriculture, and environmental management by equipping them with the tools to protect vital resources—clean water, healthy soil, and nutritious food.
In 2024, we began listening to residents of Woodhaven, a diverse neighborhood in east Fort Worth. Their priorities were clear: preserve green space, create safe environments for children, and expand access to meaningful educational opportunities. In response, we launched a series of initiatives that reflect these values and lay the foundation for long-term impact:
- PermaLab Science Club— A weekly, hands-on program at International Leadership of Texas – Woodhaven, this club reinforces classroom learning through gardening, soil science, and sustainability experiments. Students build STEM and literacy skills while exploring real-world solutions to environmental challenges.
- Econautics Speakers Bureau—A public lecture and workshop series led by experts in sustainability, agriculture, and environmental science. These events educate the community and generate operational funding, ensuring transparency, fiscal responsibility, and program growth.
- Living Laboratory Vision—Our long-term goal is to purchase land to establish a permanent hub for agricultural education, environmental research, and community engagement. This site will create jobs, strengthen local partnerships, and provide future generations with the tools to thrive.

Join Us
At Econautics, we are educating future changemakers with urgently needed permaculture, agronomy, and sustainability practices that help heal the soil and improve the nutritional quality of our food.
Our goal is to develop a cradle-to-career pipeline for these fields to create a pathway out of poverty for children living in low-income households today, and to ensure the future availability of enough nutritious food to support Earth’s rapidly growing population.
These initiatives don’t happen on their own—we need your help to make these visions a reality. Join us in creating a sustainable future for all.
Whether you are a volunteer, donor, or partner organization, your support is crucial to our success. Together, we can build resilient communities and a healthier planet.
